Nifty Midcap 100, BSE Small Cap, Nifty IT, Nifty Bank, Nifty Auto, Nifty Pharma, Nifty FMCG and Nifty Financial Services indices registered good gains in the opening session of the stock market.
Among the gainers in early trade on Friday, Bajaj Finance rose seven percent. Shares of Bajaj Finserv, Shriram Finance, NTPC, ICICI Bank, ONGC, IndusInd Bank rose. Power Grid, Coal India Limited, Bharti Airtel, Tech Mahindra, Asian Paints, Larsen and HDFC Life were among the decliners.
In the pre-open market on Friday, the BSE Sensex was trading at 75018 points, up 407 points, while the Nifty was trading at 22776 points, a gain of 118 points. An indication was received from Gift Nifty that the functioning of the stock market may return to normal. The Asian stock markets were bullish after the US jobs report. The Indian stock market closed higher on Thursday. Stock markets rallied on Thursday on hopes of a decline in crude oil prices and the impact of inflation in the domestic market.
Out of the 10 listed companies of Gautam Adani Group, shares of five companies fell, while five stocks were trading higher. Shares of Adani Enterprises fell by one per cent, while shares of Adani Green Energy rose by one per cent.
